Hey You ! Today after the exploration of the XIX century, the meeting with the impressionists, we will go back in time with our amazing machine -OK in reality, I don’t have enough money to buy such an expensive machine sorry…- we will go at the Italian Renaissance.

The Italian Renaissance comes a little before the French one, it starts during the XV century and spreads in Europe -We always know good things after…-

The Itatalian Renaissance is an important improvment of the art indeed artistic styles and new methods are found like the prospect – before all was in 2D like Marios Bros or all old videogames- the prospect was introduced by Masaccio -Italians are really strong !–.

It’s in the second part of the Renaissance, under the reign of Lorenzo de’ Medici also known as Lorenzo the Magnificent -The « Magnificent » What else … ? – who supports young artists by creating schools of painting -like the EM Strasbourg but not with the same courses and topic- that the young Sandro Boticelli student at the School of Florence is painting his masterpiece a painting that will became after one of the most known in art : The Allegory of Spring. This very big painting was ordered by Lorenzo’s cousin for the birthday of Lorenzo. It is special because it presents heroes of the mythology like Venus and Zephyr this is something new because before the reign of Lorenzo de’ Medici the only orders were from the church, it was so impossible to see on a painting something different from a christian character.

This painting is not only the image of the wealth of Firenze but also a symmbol of the freedom of art !

Message of the author : OK OK OK this painting is also special for an other reason -Its biaised but- as you may know after three articles, I have a little passion for the art -I think you didn’t noticed ;)- and this painting is the one - the only one – that allowed me to pass the exam of a well- known business school it is also for this reason that I love it ! If one day you go to Florence please come and see it, it is at the museum of the Office.
